Welcome to myblog.arts. My name is Sean-Henry Fitzsimons, I work between craft and digital departments mostly within textiles. My main role would be a specialist Knit for the Fashion Textiles course and I also work as a clo3d/digital specialist with the MA: Innovation Fashion Production course.
I use my skills in my other job as a production consultant for KBN Knitwear, a micro-factory in London based in BOW. My role here lends my skills and experience in knitwear and garment production which utilise my 3D skill sets to help challenge the business norms, become more sustainable, and streamline our production into a circular digital business model.
I have worked across many brands in Paris, London, and Ireland as well as working in costume in Ireland’s hand and machine knitting designs and small production runs. I feel that this experience has led me into teaching and research and I am hoping to pursue a Ph.D. in digital textiles and seamless circular design outcomes.
